Does anyone have a funny thing that happened to them?

I was thinking of this today. My mother lived at the end of the street. Our next door neighbor had 4 cars and during snowstorms they would park them on the street. Often the town snowplows would have to go around them and would not plow in front of my mother's house. I think that they did this on purpose. The guy that owned the local Ford dealership lived across the street in a big house. He was a neighborhood rich guy. The Ford place had a big tow truck that had a plow on the front. He drove it down my street to plow his boss's big driveways (he had a front driveway and a back driveway) He got stuck at the end of the street. I was shoveling my driveway so i heard him spinning his tires so I walked down the street with a snow shovel and helped him dig out. I knew this guy a little. He was one of the older guys in the neighborhood. I asked him of he could plow in front of my mothers house. Tern we talked a little about why the town plows don't do it. So he said that he would plow my mother out and pile the snow in front of my next door neighbor's cars. So he pushed a big snowbank in front of the lead car and then pushed another snowbank along the whole side of all four cars.

Her next door neighbor never did it again.

I thought of something that happened to me. In my 20s, my sister used to go roller skating a lot, down by the beach and lots of other places.

One time we went to a college. There was a long, winding sidewalk that went down a fairly steep hill. I was also a skateboarder, liked to snow ski, and was kind of a daredevil. So I decided to do a downhill slalem thing down that hill.

I got going really fast and thought I had better slow down. So I went off onto the grass, thinking it would slow me down.

When I did, I sort of leaned back, bracing myself for resistance from the grass. But it turned out to be as slippery as the sidewalk. My feet came out from under me. I flew through the air, horizontal to the ground with my feet above head level before landing on my back, arms and legs outstretched.

My sister was watching from the top of the hill and almost died laughing. She said it was one of the funniest things she had ever seen. It was like the kind of pratfall you would see in a movie.

I didn't get hurt, but I sure felt stupid and got up laughing out of embarrassment.

Years ago when I was working for my boss, me and 5 other coworkers were on a new construction site. This one coworker kept stapling my tool pouch to the studs. I told the other guys that I was going to get even with him. It was summer and hot as hell. I saw him go into the Porta potty. I called the guys to watch. I ran out, propped a 2x4 under the door latch then started dropping bricks down the vent tube of the Porta potty. Those bricks made such a splash and got shit all over him. I heard him heaving then barfing. He tried getting out but couldn't because I had the door jammed. After a while I quietly removed the 2x4 and he was able to get out. He was covered from head to toe in waste. He was gagging and puking for at least another hour. He never messed with me again.

A had a friend two years ago I talked to a lot, since we shared a lot of classes. My dad runs a pool technician business and a customer, a dicorced mother of two, asked if he was looking to adopt any cats. She apparently had a large litter of kittens she was giving away for free. We agreed as a family to go to the house and pick a kitten out.

Now, when he told me about the owner, he dropped a lot of hints- I really should've figured it out faster than I did. Because I got to know this boy really well after seeing him every day. Enough that I knew he had divorced parents... a sister... and a litter of kittens. But my dumb ass walked into his house the very next day and stared at him with shock. Followed by my exclamation of "What the fuck?" ... which happened to be the first time I swore in front of my parents.

Soooo I got grounded and we named the cat Pepper.

Last winter, it was my first time dealing with snow. We had just had a snow storm and the snow was really light and fluffy. They had plowed the parking lot, so there were banks of snow over four feet high. It was extremely cold out, so I started jogging through the parking lot and just as I was getting to the sidewalk, I slipped! I ended up falling into a snow bank and couldn’t get out! I was literally buried. I was actually trying to swim my way out, which made more snow fall on me. Luckily there were two very nice guys that helped me😂 but yeah, I was laughing pretty hard while they were helping me.
