I almost always skip breakfast even though people say it's the most important meal of the day.
When I was competing on the track team in high school and also competing in other sports, I compared the difference a lot and found that I always set my PRs on days when I skipped breakfast.
I don't know why or if it's just pure coincidence, but since then I always started skipping breakfast but especially on days where I need to compete or do something challenging.
My conjecture is that I seem to get tired easily after eating a meal. I'm one of those types who wants to take a nap several hours after instead of getting energized. So it might help me if I avoid eating for 8+ hours before I do anything difficult or compete in a sport. Otherwise my energy levels get negatively impacted. It's just a conjecture formed from weak evidence.
Also I always use this exact deodorant. I haven't changed it in over 25 years:
It started when a lot of women started telling me I smell really good. I wasn't sure what caused it like if it's the soap or shampoo I used or laundry detergent or what. So I don't have it on more than superstition but I think I narrowed it down to this deodorant. But I only have it on very weak correlation that it might be the cause. It's just the one common denominator I've narrowed down every time women said I smell good that I always had on, so I've never changed it.
I have been using the same, Adidas Dynamic Pulse, for over a decade now. I also use Pinaud Clubman classic as an aftershave. I just decided to mix up my scent selection and got some Axe Gold and Gold Temptation to experiment with. So far, I like them.
@zeitgeist057 Nice! I have a lot of personal superstitions like this. I come from a scientific and engineering background but I can't conduct controlled tests for these cases so I just sort of superstitiously go by what appears to produce results I most like, too afraid to risk tampering and messing up the results. 😅
I'm not sure it's a superstition, but I always look for unique numbers, like 12:34 on a clock, 76543 on my car odometer, 555 on a house address. And I tend to enter different numbers when I microwave... 2:02 instead of an even 2 minutes, for example.
Not really... I lived with a black cat most of my life. The ladder to the attic is always down, so I walk regularly under it :D
Nah... how can a witch be superstitious?
I used to believe in the break a mirror and have 7 years of bad luck. But now I don't care about any of that kind of stuff.

The only thing I'm superstitious about is saying out loud that I hope something doesn't happen. It could be anything. I'm afraid that I'll jinx myself. If I do say that I hope a certain thing doesn't happen, I knock on wood. LOL
I always put on my right shoe first, always... no exceptions, but that's more about my OCD tendencies rather than superstition... lol
although, I can get a little superstitious with sports too
Not many, but I am a gambler so I have my own rituals when I visit the casino, either in Monte Carlo or Las Vegas.
And no, I won't talk about my own superstitions because doing so draws them and bad luck.
Not really, sometimes I knock on wood but it’s more of a joke. Also black cats aren’t bad luck, if anything they’re good luck!
Just the usual. If a (cricket) batsman is on 95 then you can't go to the toilet till gets his hundred. There are number of things you should not do when watching sports lest you jinx.
Mercury in Retrograde is my enemy. Oh I know its hard to beleive.. but by DAMN every time it goes into retrograde something technical happens to my computer, phone, etc. I do not joke. I wish NASA would aim a rocket at it and BLOW IT TO HELL.
Surprisedly no, but I love hearing others stories and theories 😄 it’s fun and interesting haha.
Yea driving in the blind spots of semitrucks but tbh driving around them being next to them is something I prevent, also gas tankers as well
Sometimes nothing serious. But Sometimes I won’t sit in a certain chair in my house because I don’t want bad luck with my online girlfriend but that’s absolutely ridiculous
you should list all of them because i only know 3
Nope, that would be crazy. Also it would appear that some people here don't understand what a superstition is. 🤔
ROFLMAO. Wife is superstitious when watching football. she thinks if she's standing in the kitchen and the team is doing well, she has to say there.. or wherever
never step on the foul line on a Baseball or Softball diamond
Never close a knife that someone else used that belongs to you,!
I still avoid walking under ladders even if it is a dumb superstition
"Never trust anything that bleeds for 7 days and doesn't die"
Never put your purse / wallet on the floor or you’ll be broke forever
Stepping on sidewalk’s cracks
nope.
Karma bites hard.
