I’m a city kid, I’m the anti-country, haha. Or I guess I’m more of a suburbanite these days, but…. I don’t have any concept of country living. Scares the hell out of me, honestly. I hear folks talk about the city like it’s scary…. I’ll go anywhere at any time in the city. We have LIGHTS, lmao. If I’m in the country, I’m barricading everything as soon as the sun goes down. Absolutely TERRIFIED of country vibes, lmfao

1# Rattlers are rare at least where I live you only really find them in a place called the sand hills and if you watch where your walking and stay your distance when you see em they won't attack.

2# Coyotes are cowards and generally don't mess with humans unless they're desperate and or have a numbers advantage I lived 3 blocks away from some fields and you'd hear em yipping all night every night. Even now in the middle of town you can still hear em. But we usually kill quite a few of them to keep their numbers down because they can become a threat to cattle.

3# Mountain lions are really uncommon here and I've never heard of anyone being attacked by one in the 30 years I've been here.

4# Deer won't attack you really 99% of the time they run away I've seen them up clos many times when working fields and got to see one really, really up close last year beautiful creatures. They're mainly a danger when your driving on roads I've known a few people who have hit em and they will fuck your vehicle up.

@Phoenix98 haha, my house actually has a ton of forest out back, I’m goofin’ again, at least on the deer and coyotes. They’re in my yard DAILY, or I’ll hear them making their respective sounds in the woods. Deer noises are WEIRD, I had to get used to those. Mountain lions and rattlers still scary as hell though, haha. I know they don’t mess with humans like that, but I just don’t take any chances, haha. I have friends in Florida who are so casual about alligators being around, and I’m like “I couldn’t LIVE, bro”😂 I’m into bass fishing, and I hear about the hogs you can catch in FL, but I ain’t standing around on banks by gators, absolutely NOT, lmfao

Deer noises are pretty strange, I don't know if you've ever heard a full pack of coyotes yipping but man it sounds otherworldly like a pack of demons running around or something lol.

I hear them hogs are joke though and can easily kill a man I've some of the pictures of these things and they get massive no wonder they hunt em from helicopters.

I live in a small town in Kansas born and raised and I work in the agricultural industry as a manual laborer, walk and work fields during harvest time pretty much use tools every day to repair, take apart or put together stuff, I've hunted, I fish, shoot guns and drive a pickup and have a cowboy accent or so I'm told by people outside of my state. Pretty much exclusively wear boots, jeans and flannel and have tons of snap back hats and cowboy hats lol. And I often go to rodeos and drive around on back roads blasting music with my windows down.

Don't know how country that makes me but I'd wager at least 20%.

I grew up in the south. We weren't farm country but a lot of my friends were, which meant they had land which meant that's where we hung out, especially on weekends. Country girls are smoking hot and I usually have dirt stains on my hands from march through October, so I suppose "More country than many" would be the best answer I can give. Only helped birth one horse in my days and haven't ridden one in a decade. I don't hunt anything that can't shoot back because I find it boring and unsportsmanlike, so that's a strike against me, but I can still be real fun with a shotgun.
