So on the radio I heard some woman speaking Portuguese and her voice sounded angellic.

I thought to myself, what if I married a woman who could talk like that?

I didn’t even know what was being said its just her voice sounded so nice.

I guess the mystery of what was being said made it more attractive.

That being said though, I’d be curious what people think of English and what languages sound best to you.

I think a large part of it might just depend on who is speaking the language and how it is being spoken.

Are they angry, relaxed, etc?

That being said though I always find it entertaining when people that speak slavic languages start to cuss at eachother 😅

With English, it’s about the accent not so much the language. For people from the British Isles, you have a very high number of accents and dialects. A girl from County Galaway, sounds very different to an Aberdonian to a Scouser, to a Brummie, to a Geordie, a girl from south wales to north wales, West Country to Fenlands, Black Country to Cockney. There are a load more each change slightly with in a local area and then more between regions. For me it’s West Coast Ireland. Then you of course have other countries such as Australia, New Zealand etc

Proper Received Pronunciation (RP) is a gorgeous accent to me. Even some of the other dialects of British English are beautiful. (I can literally watch English With Lucy videos on YouTube all day long). Other English accents like Cockney, Welsh, aren’t as appealing to me at all. American, Australian, and Canadian English, don’t have the same polish to me so the accent itself doesn’t really strike me as a sexy language.

But maybe I think English is sexy because I'm not a native English speaker.

I am a former Irish Catholic Kennedyese speaker from Boston. Think Mark Wahlberg. I moved into The Confederacy (Georgia, then Tennessee) and had to break my accent like Jimmy Carter did in reverse. I don't speak a Southernese dialect naturally (although I can imitate it) but sort of a slight Pittsburgh/Ohio midwestern twang. Articulate and literate. Now, this is called White Supremacist by Wokesters. Why I use complete sentences and good punctuation, not silly abbreviations, here.

I've got a northern English accent. I think it's warm and has a different texture and quality to the Southerners which can be a bit harsh on the ear. My voice is smoother I think.

So I think it can come down to the accent. A lot of English accents are horrible. See Welsh for example.

Having lived in Netherlands for a whille, I love their langauge and its pronounciation. A lot softer than German, which is a very similar language i think.
