I'd have to say when I was working in upstate NY on the Millinnial pipe line in 2008. I met folks from all over the country and made a handful of friends. A couple of the younger ones, like Heather, 18 and pregnant, wanted my address, she said to send me a Christmas present. People always say these things but rarely do we find the time or even think to. She was a real trooper. Being a crip I was a flagger and she my partner. We worked, by special demand from the foreman Dave, West Virginia. He ran the tail end where the fill has to be planed out for proper water drainage and all the EPA stuff. But Heather, at my request, put off taking her layoff for 3 weeks because I had worked with some chukleheads. I wanted to stay up until just before the first snow because of the salt and what it does to cars. She was ending her 8th month before that 3rd Friday came. Her kid is 16 now. We took our layoff on October 3rd, it snowed the next day a guy I met told me and the Longhorns won then beat ou the next 45-35.

There was this party or holiday event and everybody in the family both sides came over. I think normally when I’m surrounded by my family or people that care and there’s no arguments there’s no nothing. We’re all just there together eating having a good time and it’s game night or something.
