+1 yNowhere near as much as I'd like.
I sometimes drive to my nearest beach (40 miles from me) in the car at night. Park up and take a walk along the seafront.. I find it very relaxing and thought provoking.
Having said that.. It's more pebbly than sandy so I don't actually walk on it, but alongside it.
The nearest DECENT beach I have is about 120 miles away. I would go there, but it's not a particularly nice drive.26 Reply- +1 y
What about you? Do you find it very relaxing too?
- +1 y
I do. I walk on a sandy beach everyday in summer. I live in the South of Italy and the beach is only a 20 minute drive away so during summer it's something I make time for. And yes it's extremely therapeutic, relaxing and as you rightly put it thought provoking.

It depends, when I’m on holidays I get to walk on the beach almost everyday, otherwise I do it maybe once per month. Sometimes I do workouts at the beach as well, I feel like working out there is more demanding than usual.
What about you?

Every summer. All summer. I live in Italy and the beach is only 30 minutes away. I perso love it.
- +1 y
Yes I do.
- +1 y
It's very different. It's more therapeutic for me. What's more I actually live in a national park so when I am at home I practice outdoors with the mountains around me and I much prefer practicing alone and outdoors.

+1 yI stopped when Japan started leaking nuclear waste and the earthquake trash started floating up on the beaches. It's been some time now but that changed my frame of mind of "clean and safe". Some of the best beaches are just off the coast of oil rigs too so you need to bring extra sun tan lotion to get the tar off your skin. Modern living.

+1 yAlmost every week, my property has a little sandy beach at the end of a river. I like to put my lawn chair in the water and read my book on hot days.

That sounds like heaven.
- +1 y
It's a nice option. Very peaceful.
2.4K opinions shared on Other topic. Certainly not as often as I would like... We live about a two hour drive (min.) from the nearest beach, which sadly is not the best by far.
30 ReplyThe sand part I have tons of everywhere. The water part to make it a beach is a bit tougher. Maybe once a year do I make it to an ocean or something.

+1 yI don't see beaches as something to walk on.
I only use them as a means to land a dinghy that takes me to or from a yacht.
It's profession related.

@dustybiker2 If you don't mind that there's nothing dusty about it, you will be welcome. Just drop by :)

Thanks. 😎 I'll help de-barnacle next time you might need it. lol
- +1 y
@dustybiker2 I don't have barnacles, but as you already offered, we can pretend that I do have some :D
- +1 y
lol Spit and polish is fine with me too.
Don't mind me. I've been watching Black sails. Death by barnacles stays with you. 😱 - +1 y
@dustybiker2 These are really damn sharp things. A light touch already makes a cut. Not deep, but with saltwater it isn't real fun
- +1 y
Nature did a good job designing their defenses. Water softening skin probably helps.

@dustybiker2 Good point. I may mount some on my motorscooter :D
+1 y5 minute walk... but fuck that shit, I use my treadmill instead.
10 Reply1.9K opinions shared on Other topic. When it was summer between 2020 and 2021 and before i relocated to Germany i went to the beach almost every day. it was a 30-40 minute drive with a taxi.
Where i'm now the closest sandy beach is literally out of my country. ☹️
