What do you think of these bracelets?

I was scrolling online and saw an ad for bracelets that vibrate when you touch them, they were I guess designed for couples that are at a distance that miss each other and when you touch the pendant, the pendant for the other person vibrates and lights up, I guess letting them know that they are being missed by their partner which is pretty cool but I filtered this through my not so good brain

I realized you can use this as a security method, kinda like a lookout method if you are running an illegal organization, you ring them up if you see police, giving a warning to the others and they can cover up shit, head starts can be useful.

Honestly, I don't think much of them because in order for them to vibrate or light up, they must be connected, either through Bluetooth or by the internet. Bluetooth is limited in distance to a few yards/meters and thus, I don't think that they are actually connected with the Bluetooth function but rather than with the internet.

Why even bother to have those bracelets if they need to be connected. You may as well use the GPS and tracking function of any smartphone to locate the person and thus you don't really need those bracelets, at least not for couples.

Perhaps they can be useful to criminals like governments and the like.
