"Airplane!", a big hit in 1980.
It was the first of the spoof movies. (For instance, "Naked Gun" and "Scream" franchises.)
"Airplane 2: The Sequel" from 1982 was also equally good. William Shatner in this one makes it a bit special too.

“Stripes”, I don’t know how it did at the box office, but it's hilarious!

I think I first saw this when I was 12. I thought it was funny, but I didn’t get much of the subtle humor, and I thin my mom was upset that dad chose it as a “family comedy”. when I was 16, I watched it again… I LOVED it! It’s absolutely hilarious, and was written, and directed by the same team that made the original Ghostbusters!

The only comedy I found hilarious was comedy of Norman Wisdom, Jerry Lewis, Peter Sellers, Leslie Nielsen and the like.
I do not find anything worth a chuckle, let alone hilarious about Ben Stiller, Adam Sandler, Seinfeld.
The last movie that made me laugh was Rush Hour.
I wonder if British comedies these days are any funny because British humor is million times better than American humor.
