I do have a few, but this time I am imagining… picturing myself in my happy place 😇

The swing hanging on a tree and I am playing on the swing, and looking out at the shore… Feels refreshing.

What’s your happy place, whether real or imaginary?

Goggle-Eye Bend on the Big River in Missouri.

Unfortunately, it now exists only in the minds of those who knew it as it was prior to the late -1990s.

The forces of nature reshaped and straightened the river over the course of a couple of years, cutting that beautiful bend off from the flow of the river.
I feel rather sad seeing it these days, but I remember it fondly.

It was a very beautiful place, bordering on being magical in many ways.
I'd stop there in my boat for lunch and for a dose of spiritual elevation after a morning of fishing.

Years ago, I wrote a short story about it, before the bend was destroyed.
That story is a bit too long to copy here.

Even though it now exists only in my mind, that's my happy place.
