
Do Shar Pei dogs have respiratory issues like some Bulldogs?


I'm not certain, but most thorough breds are susceptible to health issues of one kind or another

I used to have a German shepherd he died when he was 12 :(
He died back in 2008 he was a great loyal dog ❤️
Was sad, our house felt weird for awhile :(
And I had tortoiseshell cat she died during covid :( got ran over :(
She was very special cat, loved cuddles on the sofa ❤️

these dogs are genetically prone to respiratory issues, yes...
because they do have very short noses, so this means, their tissue is much more dense inside that nose, which leads for them to grow will smaller nostrils and "breathing pipelines" lol... so yeah, they can often get in trouble because of this
yes... but many other dogs have genetic predispositions for illnesses, humans too... they're all still lovable and need some care (=
