Given that it's been almost 25 years since the year 2000, I've been asking around, and nearly everyone who has replied has said, "No, it's just another year to me." It seems like everyone is basically burnt out.

No. 2000 was a significant number, although not really the turn of the century and of the millenium as they made us believe. The new century and millenium started on January 1, 2001. Centuries go from 1 to 100. Only computers count from 0 to 99.
1000 was a significant number as well in the middle ages, as people believed the end of the world was near, with apocalyptic visions occuping the minds of many.
2025 will just be another year the earth revolves around the sun.
No, it's just another year.. I could see 2019 to 2020 maybe, because it's another decade, and a noticeable one attract, but 2024-25 is just... Another year..

Actually, back then there were a lot of Y2k Computer doomsday people, which turned out to be a lot of phooey, but there it was.
Yes every year lol I watch Y2K episode Family Guy and or Futurama most years before new years eve lol 😂😆 for the entertainment
There's no equivalent. It turned a new millennium back then, and noone knew what would happen
1999-2000 transition was much better in my opinion.
