How do you normally act when your joke didn’t land well?

Im a jokester as some if you may have guessed by now but sometimes my jokes don’t quite land lol. What do you usually do in those instances?

My go to is i just chuckle at myself over the lack of a reaction to it. That sometimes amused me more than getting the laugh lol
