We used to get these small round rocks in our stockings at Christmas. You never knew what crystals would be inside. A fun tradition.

They turn up when the farmers plow the fields. So we probably have to go at night with flashlights. Getting shot would suck.

I thought I had one, from when I went to the Ontario Museum but I think I’ve lost it. The only thing I have left is an amethyst little thing.

No, but a relative of mine who often searched for them has, we received the open ones and other minerals as gifts.

There are extensive maps available to show the underlying earth/stone compositions. My relative often went to quarries and certain foothills close to rivers.

No, but it is a very interesting thing. I do not know how expensive a geode is , Maybe that is why I never got one.

They aren't much as you don't know the value until it is open. Resale can be marked right up when open. Natures lottery.
