So you invent the first powerful microscope and are excited to examine things up close and then you see something tiny moving around that looks like a monster and there are billions of them, EVERYWHERE outside and inside of us? Nobody else in the world knows or understands that they're covered in and eating/drinking countless little monster creature things? How freaked out are you?

Nasty. I try to not think about it since my fear of worms will always win and looking at things under a microscope only scares me more.
