I have an expensive display table that can be turned on manually but requires a remote to do other functions, and all of a sudden, in the middle of a display, the dang thing stopped working. Tried new batteries, nothing. Other new batteries, nothing. Dusted off the sensors, nothing. I literally googled, "why is my display table remote not working." Since it was dark, turns out I couldn't see the fact that the battery terminals were totally corroded. Had to then search, how to fix that. Apparently just a bit of vinegar, isopropyl alcohol, and a q-tip. Good as new.
