I've owned 4 convertibles.

1969 Impala - Just for nostalgia and the looks.

2005 Corvette - Owned 3 Corvettes. Wanted to experience one drop top version.

2008 Honda S2000 AP2V3 - The absolute most fun sports car I've ever Owned. Bought new and tuned by Hondata in Houston Texas.

2014 Mercedes SLK55 AMG - The noise in the S2000 got to me. Wanted to try the folding metal roof in the SLK55. Much quieter and easier to live with. But not as light and fun as the S2000. Still a very good compromise. Also bought new and tuned by Hondata in Houston Texas.

The Vette, S2000, and SLK55 were all great for commuting on back roads under the trees with the top down spring, summer, and fall. Got me off the highways and it was just peaceful and enjoyable with the top down, even at 45 mph on narrow twisty roads.

I used to... had a 2006 mustang convertible, and a suzuki samauri. they was glorious.

I got a car with T tops that come off its nice on a late nite cruise after a hot day , but in 100° weather you cook at the stop lights
