What's your favorite season?

Mine is definitely not winter... I hate the cold and I hate getting sick. The worst thing in the world... is waking up early and having to get out of the covers and into the cold.

If winter was a person I'd ghost him/her lol...

Yeah, I hate winter too. Shoveling snow AIN’T IT, lmao. Zero degrees AIN’T IT (although I can play hockey outdoors…. but I’d rather just drop the $10 and go to a rink, and then when I’m done, walk outside into August, lmao). The only good thing is I don’t have any yard work for six months.

I always said summer was my favorite, but I think I associate it with freedom from responsibilities, which doesn’t translate as an adult. But it still makes me think “summer vacation.”

I think my absolute favorite, on further review, is spring…. but LATE spring. April SUCKS around here, yet I always have it circled on my mental calendar. I’m always disappointed though. April is still like 45 degrees, and I still go out with my fishing rod and tackle box, thinking it’s “game on”…. but there are no bites, and the ponds will look lifeless. No vegetation, no minnows, no frogs. Sometimes I’ll even see the big fish I’m trying to catch in the shallows, like a pickerel (bass are usually still in deep water), which I’m often trying NOT to catch because they’re harder to unhook because of their teeth, but they’re SO aggressive. In April, I’ll see a pickerel just floating there, I’ll drag the bait past it over and over, and nothing. No response.

Then one day, usually in May, everything just comes alive. I go to the pond and see minnows and tadpoles, and the reeds and water-grasses are starting to grow. Then the big fish are ON FIRE, until the largemouth bass start spawning. Then they’ll be sitting in plain sight but won’t leave their bed and the eggs they’re guarding.

So right around then, and I’d say through June, LATE-Spring, that’s my favorite. I everything is coming alive after the long winter, the trees have leaves again, and those leaves are very vibrant and almost a lighter green than they end up being. I love that window of time, probably 3 or 4 weeks. Like May 20th to June 20th👌 65 degrees and everything is in bloom, that’s the sweet spot. 65 also hits better in May than it does in October, when 65 is “bring a jacket” territory. April or May I’ll be in shorts, barbecueing😂

I really do like all 4 seasons because they all have something offer.. it's winter right now 1/2 way through it. It's been mild but still cold..
But with any season you dress for it.

I really don't have a favorite... if I did it would be my own season. And that would be I wasn't to hot.. wasn't to cold.. lol it would stay light out until 9.30 10 pm.

Maybe on a hit summer day it would snow or a warm rain. And some days just a breeze nothing out of control like the last past few weeks

I think summer is the worst.

It’s easier for me to find ways to keep warm than ways to stay cool.

Winter is extra layers of clothes. Extra blankets. Hoodies. Heaters etc…

Scorching heat you only have one option. Air conditioning. If you don’t have that you’re screwed.

Winter is my favorite season. I'm a skier. And I like running in cold air. Plus, no humidity, no bugs, no cutting the grass. And I like going out when it feels like a night out not when the sun goes down at 8:30 PM.

I must have been a cat in a past life, because in this one, I work from home next to my fireplace. I also recently invested in a blowtorch, which is super awesome for starting fires with no kindling.

I agree with you. I get sick a couple , of weeks after the kids come back to school and I am sick until after Christmas. I hate the cold. I hate getting up in the dark when it is cold. I hate it when I drive home in the dark. I hate having to pay hundreds of dollars on heating oil. I hate winter.

I am looking forward to summer.

I always say Spring because the sunshine and blue skies after dull and cold winter is so rejuvenating!! But it's breezy so not too hot like it can be in Summer.
