You suddenly wake up in your past at the age of six, what would you do, what wrong or regret would you make up?

At 6, you have no regrets.

I guess the only regret I had is that I don't remember the actual Apollo 11 moon landing itself live on TV. I remember the general time - it was the summer between kindergarten and first grade for me - and I had a model of the Apollo rocket, but I just do not remember the moon landing. I wonder what I was doing... OH, probably asleep. The landing itself happened around dinner time on a Sunday, but Armstrong stepping on the moon was around 11 PM. I would have been in bed then.

None. I am afraid that I am not going to be clear about what I am about to write as to why I said "None"

I am 62 and most likely will not live another 10 or 20 years. In 1 year from around today, I will be the same age as my father was when he died 22 years ago today.

So, after all those decades, you reflect back on your life and think of countless moments when you say "If only I had...".

Except that is really lying to yourself for two reasons:
1. If you had made a different choice, you have no guarantee that your life would have been better. Certainly not the further back in time you go because then you have that many more years to make a new set of mistakes and regrets so, really, you can't be sure if your life would have been any better. What IS important is to learn from your mistakes but that's still no guarantee of anything.

2. That alternate life you will have led had you made the different choice means that would eliminate all the good things that have happened or that you have that you otherwise would not have had had you chosen the alternate life.

So, I guess I am going to be a bit existentialist and say it really doesn't matter what life you lead as long as you try to make the best of it. Any choice you made that you regret may not have been the wrong choice after all since you really can't know what would have happened had you made a different choice.

You would have no idea what was right from wrong at that point to any extent. I might regret not eating my sister's cookies sitting on her plate when she left to use the bathroom. 😃😅
