How was your day?

I went to a career advice appointment and it went really well. I think I'll do an education in accounting. I still have to figure out some details, ask some more questions and decide when I want to do it. But I had a really good impression. I feel like this could be really good for me :).

Now I'm gonna go play volleyball in the evening.

Not too bad, thanks for asking. Not had the best day but try and appreciate what I have.

Things not go so well with a girl I like. And the person in my office on the same grade as me seems to have gotten some kind of promotion. They obviously favour her. A lot of food for thought.

Having had a career in finance, I've had a lot of experience with accounting. Generally, I think the people that do the best at it are introverts who are very attentive to detail and good with numbers of course. If you fit that profile it's a great profession.

That could be a great career for you. I'm not an expert on autism but from what I know of it there are aspects that might make someone inclined to be a good accountant.

I worked in several different areas of finance including Capital markets, investment banking, mortgage banking and eventually I became a Chief financial officer of a company. So I had a lot of accountants working for me. It's a great field for the right person, and it sounds like you might enjoy it.

How does Switzerland work with the disability thing? Because the United States sucks. They make people lose their disability if they work. (Which I think is so wrong.)

It's difficult. They allow you to work a little but you have to tell them what you're doing how much you're making etc. There's a lot of rules. I don't know yet how they'll react I'll talk to someone who knows more about the disability stuff first before I tell them. But part of my disability is dependent on the amount of money I have it's a supplement to the main disability that I only get if I don't have enough money to live and at some point I'll inherit money and stuff. If I can work part time and still make a decent salary and then get the main disability that is not dependent on my income or wealth and then inherit my mothers apartment for example it might be better to just try and work than get disability. But we'll see. The conditions have to be right to consider it. First I have to do the education then I have to find a job that I can consider working up to a decent amount like 50 % and then I'll have to see.

Part of the disability I'll never lose, but that's only like 1100 bucks a month which is not a lot in Switzerland. Like if I already had a well paying job and then got injured the disability would be way higher but because I wasn't making money I won't get a lot. Maybe that could be adjusted later if I make more moneyidk. This agency is very slow in doing anything. For now I'm not thinking too much about it. I'm doing it because I'm not gonna stop growing just because I got disability. I'm gonna live my life and try and figure out how I can make their rules fit my life in a way that works.
