How long after being away do you start to miss your country?

It takes me a week to feel like the new place is home and find enough comfort not to look back, permanent or not. Though permanent country move happened only once. Neither of the 2 are really that terrible, it's not like i was deported to mexico where i wished i could sneak back. ﾠ

I'm on my 3rd country and not ever wanted to go back. I've also lived 2 others for extended lengths of time and still not felt a need to return. It is nice to go back and return for a visit and catch up with people and things there but the actual living isn't any different or appealing than what I am doing now. It's been almost 20 years of being moved away.

America isn't just a place. It's a belief system. When I leave the country, I usually find a McDonald's where I can taste freedom and liberty. 🍔 🇺🇸

I usually don’t miss it honestly, unless the country I'm visiting has even shittier people. Only thing I really miss about the U. S. is our customer service, order and no scammers.
