Cause they probably don't see water cause they breathe in it and live in it, like we do with air, which we can't see, so can see they air and not water like we can see water but not air? They can probably see where not to go 🤔

Hmmm following DryGermanGuy, it makes sense that their eyes would see air in a "distorted" way, when their eye is engineered to compensate for light refraction underwater.
