Why do I fit into a 36C when my boobs are far from average?

I'm a 19 year old, I wasn't always chesty but have put on weight, so obviously my chest has increased quite a bit. I'm aware that I have a fairly large chest, but when I was out bra shopping I was shocked a 36C bra fit me. Is it just the fact that each brand has different sizing systems or that I'm really just a girl with average sized boobs?

Whether that is the way it is or not, I think Bra sizes should be measured by the band size Below the crease of the boob and the cup size Should be defined by some rules of volume. I once created a chat that defined cup size with half-fruits. Cherry, apricot, lemon, apple, mango, grapefruit, cantaloupe, watermelon, jack fruit.

Bra sizes can differ depending on the brand but there are also sister sizes. If you’re a 36C, you should also be able to fit into a 34D. Like I’m a 32D but I can also wear a 30DD.

That is still around average. The average cup size in the USA is a 34DD.

Wait until you have 36Js and have to find bras that actually fit right.
