Are we the brain or is the brain ours?

Question

Think of it, if the brain is yours then you aren't the brain but you are the brain tho so make that make sense, your brain is yours but your brain is you, how does that make sense?

Personally I believe in a soul so I don't have to think about this insanity since I'm not the brain, I'm the soul and the brain belongs to me 😂

The body is a whole system neurons run from the brain through the spinal cord and out to every part of us. Our heart pumps blood to the brain constantly, and without that oxygen and nutrients, the brain can’t even function.

Everything is connected. One part can’t do its job without the others. The brain is a big deal, for sure because it controls a LOT, but it doesn’t define all of who we are. The thing that solidifies my answer even more is that when the heart stops our brain will stop functioning after a few minutes, now when the brain dies (brain dead) the heart can still beat on its own without the brain obviously with vents and whatnot but still … so maybe the questions more FIT for the heart but answers still no for the heart too cuz well we’re a whole system all our organs are us and without any of them well we’re likely dying

I have asked myself this question way too many times lol. Sometimes I get a sense of depersonalization where I just kinda see myself from a third person point of view but that made me think that I am in fact NOT just my brain. The brain is a part of me for sure, we’re co-pilots I guess.

I say the brain is an organ. I was thinking earlier about a matter of the heart. I actually thought it's not my physical heart but the heart of the soul. We're spirit and our brain functions our bodies movements and all. As we grow up we become so accustomed to using our brain that it becomes ingrained to our actions and your question comes forth. Or something like that.
