6.3K opinions shared on Other topic. At my age, there's not much future left and, what there is is not good. Only the past is good. I am not sure I'd go back and relive anything though no matter how wonderful that moment was. That's because all good things must come to an end; reliving it doesn't really change the fact that it will still be a memory.
HOWEVER, if I could relive a single few minutes all over again, it would be when I saw the total solar eclipse on Monday 08 April 2024. It was a religious experience that I will never be able to experience again. I cried after it was over because what I saw was like looking into the eye of God. No picture or video does the experience justice; it needs to be experienced first-hand on a gorgeous sunny clear day like I did.22 Reply- 1 y

And I don't need to see where that is.. I just need God faith and myself. And understand The destination has always been there. It's the journey and the experience that counts20 Reply
The idea of being able to see into the future bothers me, because for it to be possible (I mean I know it’s not a realistic question but still) that would mean the future is already set. Or if you can see “one possible” future what is the point. And if you see something bad, I think that would be really hard to deal with. If you see something good, that might be good but how would you know it was real.
Maybe I am overthinking it! But, my answer is the past and, I would want to relive some time with my granddaddy who died years ago. JMO!52 Reply- 1 y
A possibility is the general direction and major events are "already set" like in back to the future film 2, but personal choices are not "set" in advance.

AskI'd rather relive a past moment in time. There are so many beautiful memories, like attending the Cannes Film Festival or immersing myself in an art exhibition that captivated my heart. Revisiting those moments would allow me to appreciate them again. While seeing the future might be intriguing, I cherish holding onto and reliving the joy and experiences life has already given me. 🌟🎨

1 yI think the science is that living in the moment is best for your mental wellbeing. Buddhist monks are off the charts in terms of happiness... as measured by MRI scans. That's what I try to do, some days more successfully than others.
Seeing the future would make sports betting easier though...

1 yI'd father see the future. The past is the past, what makes us who we are. Let's not change that.

1 yActually none. I want my past memories to stay in the past. I prefer living in the present one day at a time. I don’t want to know what’s going to happen in the future out of fear of seeing something tragic happen to me or someone I love.

1 yGreat Question, there is something about reliving old glory! I think I would prefer that, I do not believe in predestined things, so, If I knew something about the future it would bother me to no end.
02 Reply- 1 y
The opposite if you "do not believe in predestined" then you believe it can change so it would NOT bother you?

@strateguy632 ok, now my head is spinning! I might be reading your response wrong. If the result can change it would not bother me!

00 Reply Good question. It's a tad different than traveling in time. So here I would like to see the future. Unlike how I said I would not care to travel very far into the future due to a possible ELE.
