I voted for Trump so i honestly don't like illegal aliens however, i don't think all are bad people and i think something should be done to give the hardworking a path to residency especially those with clean records that worked hard in factories and warehouses for several years and contributed to society but for most i say no sorry.

Dropping off people who are here without papers or legal status at someone's house is a ridiculour stunt.

That woman had no means to help any such person as she is not an immigration official or an immigration lawyer, the only people who can help those who have crossed the border illegally.

And in light of what's being done right now, their chances are slim to none for staying here as there are millions of people here WITH legal status who are in line in front of them and are still struggling to remain.

I'm a moderate person who seeks as much fairness as possible for all involved. I don' t support coming into any country, much less my own, illegally. It's a bad precedent. But the way it's being handled isn't utilizing the rule of law or considering the why and how and how long these folk have lived here and what they've contributed.

I don't say have the people here without papers jump the line. But the process for people who are here legally takes way too long and costs way too much. The asylum issue appears to be being overlooked and everyone is being dumped into one basket.

These people are legal cases and that' needs to be the process. Not wholesale shipping people away to prisons in other countries. The system is broken.

It is a civil offense to enter America illegally. NOT a criminal offense. And they still need their day in court. EVERYONE in America, even those here illegally, have due process rights. Trump has been ignoring them by imprisoning people in foreign countries. Tarring all illegal immigrants with the "criminal" brush. It's absurd.

The money should be spent on putting these people through the legal system. FIRST put through the people here legally. Get that done. This means MORE MONEY FOR IMMIGRATION COURTS and judges. Not for ICE agents. It's being done backwards.

THEN got through the people who've come here for the reasons everyone comes here: to make a better life than they had in Mexico, Guatemala, Nicaragua etc. And don't forget, in those millions are people from China, Canada, Nigeria, Sweden, India, Germany,, who have overstayed student and other visas and work permits.

To say that all of these people have contributed nothing to America is also absurd.

There has to be a scale showing a rational balance between what people have given to America vs. what they've taken from it. And that can be ratiaonally determined through giving them due process rights.
