Dogs and cats I think make great companions, my friend owns two parakeets she adores them.

Companion animals can be dangerous for some, lol.

Seriously though, I grew up with small dogs, got roped into having cats which I didn’t want to, but they grew on me, one was dog like personality anyway and the others were leave me alone types. Oddly they liked sitting on/with me, and I just let them and sat still, so they preferred me over anyone else, lol.

A dog is my companion animal. I've had several of them, big and small. Dogs are smart... and loyal.

I think cats are easiest to snuggle up with, but I prefer the right dog. My favorite companion animal is actually a horse. They aren’t snuggly, but there is definitely a companionship.

I don't have a pet, but my first choice would be a dog. Second choice would be a cat. They both have their benefits. Cats are very low maintenance. Dogs are higher maintenance, but generally more energetic and encourage you to go out often. You can train dogs, but you can't really train cats unless you're an expert in training.

I have 3 cats and a dog. Sometimes they all lay on the couch with me at the same time. They are my living blanket

I used to keep birds, but then cats caught my interest. Van cats look amazing and seem like great companions.

I had dog and cat before but I like dogs more because they are staying with you forever never leave you without your permission but cats are different, they are leaving house whenever they want and wouldn't come back amymore.
