Over her police have to get, really thoroughly, pepper sprayed in the eyes and then fend off an attacker in order to be allowed to use it. It is one of their funnier tests.

And while I have not done that, I have laughed at my sister seeing her do it. So we agreed I'd try to. It is, unpleasant. Most people go from structured movements to flailing and shoving.

No but, I accidentally maced myself when I was a kid. Never heard of the stuff before and found some next to a cash register where dad eats lunch all the time. I gave it a little spritz and had the whole room smelling like that! Of course, I didn't spray myself but I WAS within the ensuing cloud for a couple seconds.

I have felt the effects of it when someone was sprayed at a bar. My nose, eyes and throat were burning a little but the person that got sprayed directly was in absolute agony! I felt so bad for him 😔

Only very indirectly. Some kids found a discarded can of pepper spray on our school ground. Of course they had to try it and though I was 50 meters away, I immediately felt it in my mouth and nose. Disgusting stuff!!! 😷

@Flower7 I got hit as part of a drug bust in the men's room at a concert. Had nothing to do with anything but got a faceful anyway. No one told me that water doesn't help and I instinctively tried to rinse it off which just made it worse.

I was working in loss prevention years back. I conducted a stop a lady who was uncooperative. I snatched the product from her hands and she maced me right afterwards
