Yes, not only does it looks as if it would stink but it probably does stink indeed.

If you avoid any fresh air exchange like when you open the window or when you create a draft, you are going to get very bad smells pretty quickly, mainly if you have physical activities in there and you (probably) don't shower right away.

You will have stale smells and with time, mold forming. Why?

Because the humidity of your sweating body will settle on the walls and since there is no fresh air to dry the walls, mold will start to form and you will soon start to feel sick and potentially jeopardize your health.
