Puffins are awesome creatures. (& Yes hunting and eating puffins is legal in Iceland due to traditions however most do not eat puffins as a part of their diet and it's getting rarer and rarer due to decline in population - if I recall correctly, then it is not that tasty)

And lastly, then no Iceland is not a monarchy and that is how we prefer it after centuries of being under various of monarchies throughout history. And Iceland is NOT a constitutional monarchy because we gained our independence from the Danish kingdom 17. Juni 1944 and became a republic.

I'm quite indifferent towards monarchy. Never got used to having a queen and now I've to get used to having a king. (Hurrah for migration).

Greenland has a high desire for independence too, just like Iceland had in the end and are already been handed power over some of their affairs & honestly Denmark has done HORRIBLE things to the people of Greenland. Here including stealing children and taking them to Denmark, sterilising women and still to this day remove a high % of children of parents from Greenland living in Denmark.

And back to the puffins, it's endearing that they mate for live.

I am living in a country with a king and it is still strange to me - as in I'm still not used to it and despite of over a decade with a queen, I didn't get used to it.

And the only countries I've mentioned, are those we're conversing about -since you choose to mention some of them.
