Have you ever honked at someone only to realize they are a student driver or elderly and you felt bad? Did it spook them and make the situation worse?

I don't usually honk my car horn at anyone if they make a driving mistake, but I do ring my bell in my case being mainly a cyclist, to let people know I'm there.

Student or elderly person if they are driving on the road, and they deserve a blast of the horn, then that's what they get, whether it upsets them or not.

Some people honk their horn for another reason than you are meaning, but I'm never one of these people.

Yesterday when I was out cycling I overtook two young very good runners (the female was very attractive) but that's another story.

Twenty yards in front was a much stronger faster runner, and she had an amazing curvaceous figure.

Obviously she draws attention to herself, but I was surprised facially she looked 60+ but obviously had looked after herself all her life.

I had thought she was an amazing 20 year old from behind, but sometimes older people can be very attractive and fit too, and mistakes can be made like you are suggesting.

I've never honked at someone with L plates on the car, unless in self defence. Old people are a menace and shouldn't be on the roads.

i dont ever feel bad honking at someone lol and i dont really look at the driver either unless if they're really really dumb

And felt bad? No, not at all. I've honked at many elderly drivers, the ones who certainly SHOULD NOT be on the road! I never honk at learner drivers, they have their L plates present.

I suppose I have, but I don’t honk the horn for no reason so I wouldn’t feel bad about it, I usually have to honk my horn when people are still staring into their phone when the light changed
