What's the dirtiest situation you've slept in?

I'm dealing with a situation right now which has landed me a nights stay in a cockroach infested home. Today is two days later and I have welts all over my body which chat got says are bed bugs or mites or whatever.

I have family living like this daily. Kinda in shock rn. Also wondering if anyone knows about this kinda stuff. I'm jotlrth Carolina if that changes anything.

I absolutely nuked their house with diatomaceous earth no space under a couch or that's dark or a crack is safe 😂.

You just described exactly where I came from, like down to the place and everything... I grew up like that, and still have family in it... the hardest part for me was and still is understanding why they dont want to do better! It isn't easy but as a kid all I ever wanted was out! Now they tell me to come "stay" with them and I feel bad for saying no. I can smell the diamonceous Earth in the air thinking about this right now... ☹️

ya my grandmother was anneat freak. My memories of her house are mostly headaches from all the vaccuming she did and yelling at me as a kid to stop playing with the heat vents in the floor because they were the only thing she didn't clean every day.

She must have been losing her mind slowly over the years. I'm thinking from using pesticides on the roaches not realizing they wouldn't work.

Yea man you got this! I know cause im kind of in the same place... my parents can't take care of themselves and everything is about to fall apart on them.

You can show a horse to the water but you can't always make them drink... just be their for them the best you can.

Remember you can't always bring people up, they have to do that themselves. We can show the way but if they dont want to come up they will only bring you down.

Remember the purpose is you dont lose that in helping the family. I have way to many times.

I woke up one time in an old barn covered up with a blanket I dont know where I even found it but when I woke up I realized it was covered in dog shit, it was a cold fuckin night though and my friend was up on a couch with some chick and they had a blanket and her brother was there and I remember him holding open a blanket asking me if I wanted to get under it with him because its so cold and that wasn't an option in my world and I said fuck no dude then next thing they all was telling me to get under their with him he's not gonna do try any gay stuff they said and in my eyes getting under the blanket with him was gay enough and so yeah anyway at least the turds didn't smell and were dried out I guess but thats the worst I can think of

Cleaning out a boot pit full of almost a foot of water and is full of fermented seed with a smell that could be compared to the stench of a rotting body and gives you a headache also the walls of said boot pit are covered in hundreds of flies and it's extremely dusty on top of that.

Not even the dirtiest situation I've been in either.

In actual dirt in a hole covered with a plastic tarp on a layer of dirt over hot coals. Warm but it's still dirt and you have to keep your head out at least enough to not suffocate from the coals taking up oxygen. So, you're kind of sleeping partly outside in the weather and in the dirt too.

I can rough it in relatively dirty places, but roach or bedbug infested... that's too much for me. But if it's to stay warm, I guess I'd deal with it until I could get outta there.
