Does a Minotaur who stops being a beast and becomes a monk sound interesting to you?

So this is another character i was thinking of having for my book. Minotaur are usually known in lots of fiction and table top as evil savage creatures who kill and feast without a 2nd thought. but what if one became good? so far what I got is he see's a little cat and instead of killing it, he befriends his feline friend. He takes care of it until one day the cat gets lost and can't find him until my main character comes in and does. i have this event changing him and wanting to stop giving into his typical evil ways and goes on a journey to become a better person. so he meets these ascetic monks up on top of a hill. instead of fighting the Minotaur they allow him to live a life like theirs and become a monk too..

Well thats about what i got with him so far. how does this sound?

Yes! Similar was done in the old Andromeda series with Rev Bem. He was a Magog, a killing machine, who became a Wayist Monk. He was probably the most interesting character in the series.

Yeah something like that. Maybe like Beast from x-men or something. A traditional ‘monster’ who acts nothing like one 😁
