Lying in a cuddle in bed, my head on my lovers chest, feeling the hair on his body under my fingertips, his heartbeat against my cheek, the movement of his breath like gentle rolling ocean waves, the manly scent and warmth of his skin against my face. Feeling the weight of his arm around me and his fingers carassesing me with care. The room silent or gentle noise of something simple on tv. The outside world invisible and far away on the otherwise of the closed door. I cpuld lay for hours like that because finally my brain stops spinning with to do lists and planning.
To me it's swimming in the sea, feeling the water on my skin, the moment my face hits the water i am free and time or my surroundings just disappear. It's me, the water and my thoughts. My body glides and my stress or frustration magically dissipates and I am practically reborn everytime.
@HawkPerception I thank you!! Lol!! I could have gone further with this but I am happy you liked it.
That picture is a pretty good idea of relaxation and peace. And by a river would be nice of fast, flowing water and some waterfalls. When I was a teenager when I would work at the family campground up in North Carolina on my summer vacation when times got stressful. I would relax in the woods and one time I was all by myself and it was so quiet so calmIng I took a break from my work and I just sat there for 30 minutes, enjoying mother nature right in the middle of the woods.
A picnic in the park on 40 C summer day under a tree with cold beer
40 degrees Celsius? Are you insane? ๐คฃ
Pretty sure I'm good with 25 C in the shade with a cold beer. I was just outside today with 26 C and that was hot enough lol

As for me, the ultimate relaxation is switching off screens, finding a quiet spot and just being in the moment. It might be drinking coffee and watching the sunrise, reading a good book or taking a slow walk in nature. I don't know. I feel relaxed when my mind is at rest and not rushed.
Definitely in an early morning/evening, sitting on a porch or staring at the window admiring the green grass, the trees, the forest, sipping teas. Or an evening lying by the beach watching the sunset.
Sometimes it's simple alone time. Sometimes it's a few hours with a friend. Depends on what the moment calls for.
I have a hard time relaxing as an overthinker. For me, just being free from sorrow, worries and anxieties for upcoming job stuff would be, the best relaxation.

Yes. It's re-assuring to feel a peace that others don't have
Silence. Lack of light where I can just chill with the eternal horrors my mind produces.
Sitting by the ocean.
In the hottube with some wine.
Watching the sunset in Avalon on Catalina.
Coffee overlooking the Aegean, with my wife.
Sitting down at home on the internet on my phone.
