True idiots are rare. Very rare. Rarer than true autists. They have physical brain deficiencies.

The keyboard warriors on here, almost 0 of them are idiots. They are just so egoistic and cowardly that they limit their own capacities.

Conflating them with idiots implies not knowing the occult basics of the ego, and without knowing it, let alone alchemizing it, we are bound to be egoistic cowards ourselves.

I think there is a lot of truth to that saying, but it all depends on the situation. Some people aren’t interested in a real discussion; they just want to “win” the argument, no matter what facts or logic you present. In such cases, it usually proves to be a pointless exercise in time and energy to continue the conversation. That said, I also think we should be wary of calling people "idiots." Sometimes people are just misinformed, emotional, or looking at the issue from a different angle. It’s worth the time if they are willing to listen and have an honest discussion. The real lesson is not “never argue with someone you disagree with. It's when to talk and when to walk away. Sometimes protecting your peace is the smarter thing to do than trying to prove you’re right.

That Mark Twain quote is one of my favorites. I repeat it fairly often and agree with it 100%.
Conversations and exchanges of idea and information are wonderful. But arguing, itself, is idiotic. And that is where the quote holds true.
