He’s ok. He’s after my prime years, so he was never someone I got wrapped up in liking or disliking. After 30 I just stopped caring about what assumptions might be made about me if I listen to this or that artist. It seems like there’s been a whole thing like “you have to like Drake OR Meek Mill”, “if you like Kendrick then you can’t like Drake”, and to that, I say “bullshit.” I don’t know any of these guys personally, they’re just sounds coming through a speaker.

So I don’t know if it’s cool or uncool to like Drake at this point. Pretty sure he got murdered at the Super Bowl halftime show two years ago, lmao.

But does he have songs I like? Definitely. I don’t think he’s as skilled as Kendrick or closer to “real” than Meek…. i mean, I think of him as a pop star more than a rapper, really. But I think he makes generally good songs, and probably has the most songs I like out of any of the other guys we’ve decided are his competitors. But if you told me he was an industry plant, I’d also believe that, haha.
