Do the Welsh consider themselves British, English, or just Welsh?

Both Welsh and British but never English. Even English migrants very quick identify as Welsh

It's whatever you want it to be. In its original sense it was any Briton that followed Roman ways rather than Germanic. These days It's more about being born on the nice side of the border or at least having welsh ancestry if you're not. You'll tend to find half breeds will say they're welsh if asked regardless where they live

Oh c'mon the entire UK is smaller than Wyoming. Wales is just a suburb of London at the end of a commuter rail line.
