Our mailbox broke some weeks ago. The lock inside was flipped so you couldnt insert the key (harder to explain, I dont know myself how it happened). I tried with wires tried finesse from the outside, tried pliers from the slit to make it align again. Nothing worked. In the end I argued myself just to break it open and buy an new door for it.
Before that I took a stick and hammered on the side... that worked. At least good enough to open it and replace the lock. I didn't fix it really but it helped TO fix it.

I'm an electrical technician, but unfortunately I haven't had many theoretical classes. One day, the head of a plug broke off, and I tried to fix it, which is usually a simple thing for me. I think I was distracted at the time and connected two wires that I shouldn't have, then plugged it in and the socket exploded! Oh well, I fixed everything later 🤦🏻😅

Oh yes. For sure. There have been a lot of times I've tried everything I could think of, and it still hasn't worked. Then, out of frustration, I gave it a little tap or hit, and suddenly it worked like nothing had ever been wrong. I guess some things just need a little “push”!

No, but once I had a store employee doing that for me. I was at the supermarket, paid for my groceries but the self-service machine wasn't giving me the change. It worked. 😂😂
