13 years ago, I used to work with a Korean guy named, Phou (pronounced, Poo).
The strangest names I've ever heard are some of the most bizarre completely made up names that black people come up with. Shawanda, Quatinkwa, Shadinka, Phadoonki, etc..
When we first started playing in Youngstown, one of our biggest fans was a black guy that looked like a cross between Prince and Little Richard and his name was, Lawanda.

I’ve heard some pretty unusual names, but honestly, sometimes the poor person didn’t even have a choice in it. 😂 I once knew someone with a last name that sounded completely different when you said the full name out loud, and I felt bad because people were always making jokes about it.

I think the funniest ones are the names that are perfectly normal by themselves but become ridiculous when you put the first and last name together. Parents really need to say the full name out loud a few times before putting it on the birth certificate. 😭
