What was the most significant crisis of your life? How did you overcome it?

My grandmother died and I was very close to her. I haven't overcome that crisis but hopfully I can manage it with a little time.

The unexpected loss of someone very special to me. I just gave it time and eventually got better on my own

It's difficult to put into words. Not a single physical happening. I hate thinking this way but there's probably a thing or two true about the brain hemispheres myths. Since forever, i must have been stuck in the opposite brain hemisphere than normal people are stuck in. The only cure is to undo whatever caused it. It's a fucking weird place to be in, some things you just can't get good at despite high efforts and some things you're instantly mastering without even trying. It's been more crisis-like to me than any external events. But it isn't without benefits. ㅤ

I believe that it was the day I decided to move out of my parents' place when I was 18. Leaving the comfort of a nest where I was taken care of, where I felt secure and where all my childhood memories stayed behind was indeed the day where I knew an important page was turning, a chapter of my life was closing and a new one, an unknown one was about to start.

It was not so much a crisis but the realization that nothing would ever be the same again and that this protective cocoon was now behind me and that I was in charge of taking care of all my needs and wishes.

When my father died. I was unemployed and in grad school training for a new career. I was struggling with my courses and about to have mid term exams. Out of the blue, my father dies suddenly. It was really devastating. I did not know how I was going to be able to get through my exams in the middle of all this turmoil.
Finally I just thought about what my father would be telling me. He would have told me to not be a pussy and study hard and pass the damn exams.

Huge betrayal from someone I was actually looking out for but they were insecure about my own capabilities lol. But such is life. Just recoup and move forward stronger.
