Some eat the pizza crust and some don't. What's the point behind it?

Some people eat their pizza crust and others don't eat the crust. Honestly, I don't understand the point of it.

I eat pizza crusts two ways:

1. I just won't eat it. Because after having all that sauce and flavor in your mouth it tastes bland.

Or

2. I'll just scoop the soft bread in the middle of the cust out and eat it, because I don't like when the crust is all hard and crunchy.

when I make pizza, there's usually no noticeable crust though.

when I was younger, I loved cheese stuffed crust. that was my sh*t.

Well the crust is still food just like the rest of the pizza...and the point of food is to eat it.

But again it's a personal preference of each individual and also depends on what type of crust it is for the preference. Some may like some form of crust but dislike other forms.

I LOVE the crust. Its my favorite part of the pizza. I hate eating pizza with people who don't eat the crust. Makes me want to eat theirs lol.

Chicago pizza has no crust. It's all pizza to the ends. It's also cut in squares not in "pie" shapes.

I'll only eat the crust if it's thin crust or sometimes if it's thicker I will dip it, but usually I don't eat crust
