The testicles are supported by the cremaster muscles - the purpose of which is to contract to withdraw the testicles into the body when the ambient temperature is cold and to relax to allow the testicles to suspend fully into the scrotum when the temperature is warm. This is of course to maintain the testicles at a temperature which is slightly below body temperature. Most men are able to contract their cremaster muscles a little but usually not enough to withdraw the testicles completely. It could be that his cremaster muscle went into an involuntary spasm and since he didn't seem to be in any kind of discomfort it's probably just the way he is.
However, if you or he are in any way concerned about his testicles the best thing you or he can do is to get straight to the doctor. Testicular cancer is one of the biggest killers of males aged 15-35 and any anomalies in the testicles should be checked out just in case. It's probably nothing but if they were my testicles I would have them checked just to be sure that there is nothing wrong.

Deflated? They are not filled with air lady... =P They do move closer to the body during orgasm or when cold. Our testicular over around in the scrotum mostly due to temperature changes. If they are retracting into the abdominal cavity, then he should see a doctor.

It's normal. There is a tube or tunnel in there that they may go up to if it's cold or getting close to ejaculation. Testicles are actually ovaries that dropped down (that tunnel) to make a boy.
A mans testicles can withdraw into abdominal. All male mammals can do this. In very low temperature or some kind of impact to the testicles can cause them to withdraw.
They can go up into the body slightly, but not much.
Otherwise... linkIt's not a problem. If you were fooling around, he was probably pretty hard. As he gets hotter, his balls move up because they're getting ready to shoot. Once they shoot and he calms down, they should move back.
