What does it mean when a guy asks if you're hungry?

if a guy you like who you don't talk to much and don't know too well randomly comes and asks you if you're hungry (while you guys meet up for a group project...and decide to cook something)

is it his way of showing interest in you?

It's possible. Or maybe he was just going to cook something, and being generous, wanted to know how much to make. That is, if he's anything like me. I mean, seriously, I don't know this guy, so I don't know what he's like. I can't speculate off of just that, alone.

He was trying to initiate conversation and a social relationship.. How far he wants it to progress is yet to be seen. Keep up the talking and his intentions will reveal themselves in time..

To me it could be two things, either he likes sharing food because it is in his generous nature, or he wanted to get closer to you, because he wants to be friends with you or because he likes you.

If you guys are cooking together as a group, he was just asking if you wanted something as well. I'm sure he asked the others in the group as well.

It means he wants to spend sometime for you and letting you taste his culinary skills. It doesn't mean much.
