My mom has her belly button pierced and she's going to turn 55 next month. However, she has managed to stay in shape after giving birth to me and my sister and she exercises properly and eats right and has a healthy diet. She also looks a lot younger for her age. Most people think she's in her late 30's or early 40's.
As a son I must admit the fact that I find it awkward when guys get turned on when they see my mom's belly button ring. I even caught one of my friends trying to touch her belly button ring when her shirt rode up as she was reaching for the top shelf. I was fuming.
My point is that yes it's OK for you to get a belly button piercing at your age, but if you are planning to have a family and still want to keep it in then just dress/act appropriately. There are a lot of perverts out there.
You can't be too old for a belly button piercing. If you think it would look good on you, go ahead and get it.

No, definitely not too old. Just make sure you have a nice flat tummy. There's nothing worse in terms of looks than seeing a chubby lady with a belly button ring.
