Anonymous(30-35)+1 yI would rather date/marry a cute girl. If the option was a smoldering hot, stunning beautiful girl vs girl next door cute/innocent girl in regards whom I'd rather "sleep" with and never date it would be the smoldering hot, stunning beautiful girl. A hot girl doesn't do it for me when it comes to dating. I'm also not referring to hot/beautiful vs cute in terms of just their physical appearance. When I think of a girl that is hot/beautiful or cute I am thinking about in every possible aspect that she could be judged in. Be it looks, attitude, mindset, intelligence, so on and so forth. Reason being is there can be a girl that is physically absolutely beautiful, but once I get to know her I realize she's rather cute... her personality gives her the cute look but if I were to see her in a picture and not know what kind of person she is I would assume she is just beautiful. In this case, if I just saw her picture I would want to bang her, but I couldn't care less about wanting to be with her. The moment I notice how she acts, she would go from a girl that I lust after (like a lot of girls do to Channing Tatum) to a girl that I would want to date.
In contrast to that, a girl that looks cute but her personality is smoldering hot, or absolutely stunning, she would go from a girl in my head as a potential girl I'd like to get to know to... well now I know her, and she just doesn't do it for me, but she's still sexy so I wouldn't mind getting with her.
With all of that said. I'm not the kind of person that likes to have sex with someone outside of a serious relationship. So, even though a hot girl would be a girl I would want to bang, I'm the kind of person that would never actually bang the chick because that kind of thing just isn't me . . . so, even though I will be a bit reluctant, I will turn them down and I have done so in the past and pick the cute girl for a relationship 100% of the time over the beautiful/hot girl for sex.
Hope that makes sense hahah54 Reply- +1 y
Wow! I liked this. Very well said and I totally get everything you've said. Best answer so by far. And for the record, you're clearly one of the few decent guys out there. Thanks for taking the time to answer my question thoroughly and sensibly! Thanks a lot :) x
Opinion Owner+1 yThanks, I'm just glad that made sense. After I wrote it, I left for like 30 minutes and came back and re-read it... It made sense when I wrote it, but after leaving for 30 minutes I thought it didn't make a lot of sense, so I revised it and repeated the process until I believed it made the most sense. So, I'm just glad that my message got across.

+1 yDepends on the girl, although I think that an ideal girl would kinda fit right in the middle... so cute that she's hot. A real, natural beauty. She doesn't need to be overly done up to look good, she has that look of innocence, and her natural features are very pretty on their own.
Most importantly, after that, she needs a great personality to seal the deal! On a side note, a smouldering hot, beautiful girl might even be more ideal if she had a good personality. Many times they're too self-absorbed and in their own little world and that's a big turn-off, but if she had a better personality and valued others more, it would bring her back down on a much better level and she would likely find herself in much higher demand among the much more-quality men.
That's probably why I find women that are a couple to a few years out of college to be the most attractive. They're still young, but are much more aware of what the real world is like. They're more accomplished, put-together, and mature and not so much the typical, snotty, sorority girl that they may (or may not) have been in the past. Their heads are in a much better place...018 Reply- +1 y
Oh well it sounds like you've just described me! haha :)
- +1 y
As long as I'm reading correctly, that's good! lol
I am a firm believer in being the best person you possibly can be, day to day. That's what life is all about and nowhere near enough people see it that way anymore. - +1 y
Yeah I agree with you :) you've been raised the right way! Most people are rude, self-absorbed, show no mercy and are only out for themselves - it's sickening!
- +1 y
Definitely... and because of it, it's hard to be a guy (and I'm sure a girl too) with standards these days.
- +1 y
Yeah it is. I sometimes feel like one of the few. I live in a town full of truly awful people. It must be worse for guys though, because it's difficult to get respect from other guys by being a good guy. Or so I think anyway.
- +1 y
It really is and honestly even harder to get respect from girls.
- +1 y
I can imagine! I do like a guy to be a guy though :)
- +1 y
Right, but "being a guy" shouldn't mean what it tends to mean to a lot of girls... A guy can live a clean lifestyle and still be masculine.
- +1 y
and get up to mischief too. Wish I could find a good guy that was cheeky chappy too, but loyal nonetheless :)
- +1 y
I mean yeah, I'll screw around a little, but I don't cross a certain line because I'll be compromising myself and what I believe. It can be situational too, where I'll let myself slide sometimes too.
But idk... I have the loyal part down to a T, I guess lol. - +1 y
Well I've been in the position off letting myself slide too - it's not easy! Me too I'm very loyal if anything :)
- +1 y
The way I see it, I just pride myself in being different. If wasn't being myself, I'd be just like everyone else and I guess I'm just looking for that girl that isn't like all the rest too that I'm highly attracted to. She's really pretty and fun, and really cool, but she's a lot more generous, grounded and has respect for herself, and I'm telling you, she's so hard to find! :/
- +1 y
That seems legit :) oh well I am just MENTAL haha but I look for these things in a guy as well - also difficult to find!
- +1 y
I can see that being true too. But you'd think that if a ton of guys (in your case) girls, in mine, were looking for someone like ourselves, it would be a whole lot easier than it actually ends up being. You'd think, at least... ya know?
- +1 y
Yeah I get where you are coming from there :)
- +1 y
And like, I know I'm not the best looking or anything but I have redeeming qualities up the wazoo. Haha. Not bad looking either, but when you're out there doing something different, doing the best that you can, you'd think more people would be able to see that, instead of constantly overlooking you for the kind of people that aren't. People are weird lol. I don't know what it's going to take...
- +1 y
I'm the same. Well I go between cute and hot apparently, but whatever. People are weird. But I guess there are people out there who actually appreciate certain qualities in a person, just takes a little bit of searching!
- +1 y
I suppose... Guess we just gotta keep on keepin' on lol.
Why do most of you suppose that a beautiful/hot girl is not innocent? It is possible, you know, especially if she's never had a boyfriend and she doesn't go around wearing six pounds of concealer and eye liner. Also, not to be rude or anything, but when you say beautiful what exactly are you referring to? Because I've seen drop dead gorgeous girls who did not have a drop of makeup on their face. They had deep emerald eyes and the face of an angel. The next time you deem a girl beautiful/not innocent, check how much makeup she's wearing. Because if she's fake, perhaps that's why you get the impression that she not innocent.

This is great! I'm really enjoying reading all the guys' comments.
I've been meeting so many new people and hear all the time, not to toot my own horn, that I'm beautiful, gorgeous, sexy, hot, sweet, funny..etc. but yet I'm single. lol it got to the point where I keep asking myself why do I attract all players?! It's disappointing. But now after reading the answers to your question, it's refreshing and actually refocused my thoughts...there's someone out there for everyone, youjust haven't met him/her yet. :)00 Reply
Anonymous(36-45)+1 yI would rather be beautiful. Anyone can be cute as long as she keeps her weight from spiraling into obesity and has a little bit of style. Being beautiful is much more striking and enchanting.
I think the guys who say they'd rather have cute just feel like they wouldn't be able to hold onto a beautiful woman because they think of all the other competition from other guys.
But honestly most guys are dating average women. This is all fantasy talk01 Reply- +1 y

What Girls & Guys Said
Opinion

+1 yNo preference. The cute, innocent girls I dated were emotionally deep and perceptive. They had to be otherwise something would have been wrong. The beautiful girls I dated were assertive, confident and challenging..again they had to be otherwise something would have been wrong. I stopped seeing a girl that acted cute and helpless but who really was cutthroat, fake and selfish. So definitely a deal-breaker for me.
04 Reply- +1 y
Seems legit. Hot girls can be deep too though, right? Yeah nothing worse than someone pretending to be something they are not!
- +1 y
Absolutely. If you're a hot girl and your deep on top of confident... I'm gonna tryan marry you.
- +1 y
It's like the perfect combo. Same goes for a guy confident, hot, but down to earth (maybe even cute at times) I'll try to marry him :)
- +1 y
There it is. You..me..same page.
Mena Suvari's my example hot and down to earth. She's hot but she does such random and silly stuff... which shows she's down to earth (the Kim Kardashian spoof and the Christmas card recently). I try to channel David Duchovny and Will Smith myself. I see them as naturals. What do you think? Can you think of any male examples on TV?

+1 yI'd rather date a girl with who I have good chemistry, similar chain of thought, admire her and vice versa - someone with who I can relate while she can relate to me, that we can be open to each other, support each other, be compatible sexually etc
Looks are secondary and body can always be sculpted with some hard organized professional work02 Reply- +1 y
this is true :)
- +1 y
thank you :) that's the way I prefer it :D
Smouldering hot.
A smouldering hot girl can dress down and make herself look just cute, if she wants.
A cute girl can't make herself smouldering hot. So, go with the hottie, and you get two in one!
That, and only a guy lacking confidence would specifically chose a girl with less looks over a beautiful one.01 Reply- +1 y
Ahhh, I'm with you :) a hot girl can be both! :D
+1 yIf I was a guy... I would want to have a girl. period. She doesn't even have to smell nice...
11 Reply- +1 y
hahaha I like it :)
+1 ySmoldering hot because they usually are single and guys won't hit on them often because they are pussies, and because of this she doesn't know she's smoldering hot so she won't cheat on you.
It's a win on every possible level. Hot girls are not bitches, every girl I have met so far that's a 9/10 is extremely nice and most of the time shy. It's usually the really unattractive ones who are mean.01 Reply- +1 y
Interesting :) yeah it's good when a girl doesn't know how hot she is I suppose :)
Anonymous(36-45)+1 yI'd prefer a 'kind' and 'loving' girl, rather than a 'beautiful' or 'cute' girl. Looks don't mean much to me.
23 Reply- +1 y
Im with you all the way on that one! :)
Opinion Owner+1 y@QA Thanks! I belong to the minority of male population who are mature enough to understand that looks are only skin deep. So I always prefer a beautiful heart (which remains forever) more than a beautiful face (which anyway becomes all wrinkly with age).
- +1 y
Yeah beauty always fades, I think people forget that. But a beautiful heart is something that truly defines a person. :)
+1 yDefinitely a beautiful girl in the long run. Wouldn't want to date someone that JUST "cute." She'd seem more like a little sister. As for someone that is hot and beautiful, I have much more to work with ;)
01 Reply- +1 y
This is true I suppose, I get you. What is a beautiful girl in your eyes?
I wouldn't really care either way since I'd be attracted to both. As long as there was a good connection and I liked her personality it wouldn't matter.
00 Reply- 1.1K opinions shared on Other topic.
+1 yProbably both, a cute girl to smile around with and a good laugh at her clumsy ways XD and beautiful to admire out in public and when your alone with her.
05 Reply- +1 y
That's always good :) and yeah, then you can show her off in public! haha
- +1 y
Heh ahh showing her off? Not my kind of thing cause I probably would be watching her constantly wary of other people trying to get her lol.
- +1 y
Nah but in a kinda 'she's mine' way...no point in being insecure about her! that's just off-putting!
- +1 y
True true haha.
- +1 y
:)
+1 yMaybe smouldering, but both could be great. Its not how I'd choose between two women.
02 Reply- +1 y
yeah but you need to AT LEAST be attracted to a woman, so it does kinda matter.
- +1 y
Obviously but both of those types can be quite attractive.
Personally, I'd rather have the innocent girl next door. I could teach her a thing or two... I'd probably turn her into hell on heels though

Thats sounds wise to me :)

00 ReplyIf we're not making any presumptions about her personality based on her looks, obviously I want a beautiful girl.

+1 yA cute innocent girl because she's submissive and not so damn confident that way I can take charge, and not so many guys will be hitting on her.
03 Reply- +1 y
hey guys hit on cute girls too :P
- +1 y
I didn't mean it like that, a cute girl is more low risk than a hot girl because hot girls are usually very confident and talking to every guy they come across, I just want my girl all to myself and don't want to share with other guys.
- +1 y
well in some cases :) haha
Anonymous(36-45)+1 yA cute girl. I have something for girls that are really cuddly and I can have a lot of fun talking to!

00 ReplyI'll take the beautiful woman and not bullshit about it for BA.
251 Reply- +1 y
People aren't bullshitting, it's called having an opinion ;) and best answer will go to whoever's answer I like most!
- +1 y
They're bullshitting. They are aware of the game and what people want to hear. The last thing anyone wants to hear is "I'll take the woman who is infinitely better compared to the homely looking girl who just has a pretty inside wrapped in a moderate outside." That's not "cute" or "adorable" or "touching" in the least.
- +1 y
Well I think cute girls can be pretty/beautiful/amazing just as much as a smouldering/sexy/hot girl can - just in different ways. Also, not everyone can be Rihanna/Nicole Sherzinger...I'd say Reese Witherspoon is very cute - and if I was a guy I'd be going for that in a girl! So I think you're wrong, it's a matter of preference.
- +1 y
And that's why you're being suckered. I already know what you think. So do all of us. We already know what to say. You say "It is preference" but in reality there is a right answer and a wrong answer. The wrong answer is the smoldering woman who isn't average and is a cut above and the right answer is the average girl with the "good heart". It's a trap question that men have learned how to avoid the pitfall. If you say "The HOT chick" you're an asshole who cares nothing for personality.
- +1 y
Reality check: Not always. Some guys genuinely prefer cuteness to being hot. Being hotter than the other girl also doesn't mean a girl has more value - that is honestly THEE most shallow and stupid thing I have ever heard.
- +1 y
First, we're men, we don't see the "cute" you see. Second, no one's dream partner is "cute", they are "hot", and while that may vary and even be combined it's hard to hear someone say "Oh, my dream partner is a total 6. So cute but mild on the face." That's unrealistic. If a person can have both, great, if it's one or the other, sexiness wins, if it's "real life" it depends on the confidence of the person. This is true regardless of whether it's males or females.
- +1 y
And what's worse this conversation is following the direct flow given. "Choose the hot chick? You're shallow." Yeah, exactly. There are no people who would reduce the sexiness of their partner for cuteness since if there was an element of cuteness incorporated that has some form of sexual appeal to begin with. It's a backlooping concept.
- +1 y
Oh well, plenty of guys I've met like a girl who can be cute sexy and beautiful all at once. Cool story! If only every girl could be a 10 wouldn't that be wonderful...not the case though. Weird because I don't go with the guy I think is the sexiest, I go with the guy who is the kindest, most hilarious and can make me smile REGARDLESS of if he's 'just a six' who gives a shit?! So I believe it works that way for some guys too. In fact, I know.
- +1 y
You made us choose between the two. So your counter proposition makes no sense. Also, you're doing the backpeddling that is normally attributed to this type of question; in order to justify taking "the cute one" you make a point to mention that "the hot one" must NOT be as nice. It's always a lynchpin in the argument because the argument falls flat. If you have two men who are equivalent except one is cute and one is hot are you going to just take the "cute" one on principle? No.
- +1 y
Now do you see why you're being fed bullshit? There's so many holes. If you take the hot girl she MUST not be as "good-hearted" as the cute one. The answer is ALWAYS "The Cute One". ALWAYS. If you have to pick between "The heart" and "The body" which is basically what this trap question entails you will ALWAYS be expected to pick the heart. Anything else is an outright wrong answer.
- +1 y
Yeah I am actually, did it a hundred times before and I don't regret my choices. AND no there's plenty of nice hot girls out there, never once did I suggest that so PLEASE get your facts right ;) You like hot women, I like cute guys...whatever.
- +1 y
I've already stated HOT GIRLS CAN BE NICE TOO. Wow, you assume waaaaay too much. Hot girls can have a good heart and so can cute ones.
- +1 y
You've fucked with your own head. Whenever you use yourself as an example you ruin your argument on two fronts: 1. You fail to realize that you A ) actually are using real examples, so when you choose man A over man B you're dealing with real-time flaws, which skews the question and B ) the "cute guy" probably wasn't a 4 in your book to catch your eye to begin with. Unless you're saying you purposefully date uglier people for their personality, which is even worse than dating people for looks.
- +1 y
Nah I date people based on personality whom I personally find sexually attractive. That awright aye?
- +1 y
Which is where you made the mistake using yourself as an example. In real life that makes sense. In a hypothetical question what you're asking is "Choose between two traits ( and thus two implications )" while if you asked us about real life most of us will take people you don't think are hot, cute, or anything else relative to attractive. I see why people avoid this hole. It's a ridiculous vortex.
- +1 y
Yeah well, people are still allowed an opinion. And not every guy will choose hot over cute. YOU MAY. Other's may not. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and that was the point I was trying to prove by using myself as an example.
- +1 y
Nah you just need to get your head checked out, that's all.
- +1 y
That's me :) I'll hush when I'm fine and ready, thanks.
- +1 y
@cromartie I applaud you for your honesty but you have simultaneously made me realize I can never trust a man lol
- +1 y
really? I applaud him for being a pompous wee fanny.
- +1 y
@Neveryoumind: You actually have nothing to fear and you should feel more secure. People generally merge these concepts so men will not choose "cute or hot" but instead "cute and hot"; in real life you are more likely to be considered a multitude of things rather than a single thing and therefore when partnering you're in a safer state that this question would have you presume.
- +1 y
Cromartie, applaud you for such a well reasoned argument. I agree. Were there a homely girl with a great personality, next to a stunning girl with a great personality, any secure man would choose the latter. It's simply logic.
- +1 y
I only feel funny because you caused this question to pop up in my little answer cue and just as I called it the best answer went to the cheesiest mofo there was. Cheesy as hell. It burns inside how correct I was on my bets.
Also, I am wrong Mask, because as I said there's a definitive answer and no matter how stacked the logic, the reasoning, or the soundness this is the wrong answer. It always will be. - +1 y
Blah blah blahhhh I think I'm so clever. Naaaaaht.
- +1 y
Well there's always the option to consider your stupid conversation in private ;) but noooo, that's clearly too much like hard work!

- +1 y
How contradictory of you. Yawns.
- +1 y
I never denied being judgmental either. Part of me wonders if you just need something to do. It're pretty obvious you're entertaining yourself, how I can't fathom, but alas it's harmless and therefore "good". I get more typing practice and you get to be "happy" for whatever reason. Seems fair.
- +1 y
It's pretty obvious to me that you are a fool. Something to do at 3.30am? Yeah seems legit when all my friends are in bed! ha
- +1 y
Yeah, why else would I waste my time sitting here on social networking sites. Glad that explains something at least.
- +1 y
Yeah, well I do not. Whatevs. And...not really, that's just called being twisted.

I swim, play piano, occasionally go out to parties, sing, dance, study, paint, watch films, play badminton, football, go to gym, listen to iPod, chill with friends, smile, laugh, spend time with family... :)
- +1 y
Yeah unfortunately...also Sunday's a kinda quiet day so I've been a little bored with that. It's early evening now, but the weather's freezing and wet so I'm going crazy haha. I'm pretty good at badminton, bit too competitive however...
- +1 y
Ah, so you're competitive. That's not a bad thing, well not unless you beat people over the head when you lose with tiny rackets, but what's wrong with that? So Sunday is quiet and boring and it's wet and cold. Sounds like either the beginning of a love novel or a horror story, heh, the good news is that the evening is always a great time to do something less than exciting but more than boring.
- +1 y
Yeah I shoulda been a guy I think. Haha, no I refrain from doing that - it's rather difficult at times though! Let's go with the latter of the two, there is nothing remotely romantic about this kind of weather :( I've got my fingers and toes crossed that someone wants to be my friend and do something with me tonight before I go stir crazy! haha
- +1 y
Hmm go round to my friend's and probably listen to music (and play xbox games...maybe) what you up to and how's the weather wherever you are?
- +1 y
The weather is horrible, cold, frozen, a total wasteland waiting for car accidents. It's bright and deceptively sunny though! As for what I'm up to, well, nothing in particular, between going back and forth between games ( I consder this a game in part ) there;s nothing to do today. It's Sunday! :D
