Also if any of you guys know the story of Adonis and Venus, how would you describe Adonis and Venus's character ? Who is victim? why? interpretation into modern day love? etc. I'm curious.

Well, my middle-Engilsh isn't too shabby, so here goes-

I think quote translates to something like,

"Cut the crap dude and people will stop being a dick to you."

It sounds like something someone would say to a modern equivalent of a drama-queen.

What is this homework? Venus is a manipulative woman who tries to influence Adonis with her feminine guile ... The quote is basically saying she might as well give up, none of her promises, pouting, or compliments will sway Adonis and let her get her way. She's powerless.
