Well I read the lyrics and a guy's perspective on the song wouldn't be anything like the woman's perspective since he's not aware of her ex and making comparisons.

I suppose if he had an ex and mentally compared her to the new girl, that would be the male equivalent. I don't know any songs like that written by a male.
