I have always been confused by this. I recently met this guy and we fb chat a lot and at the end of his setences he usually puts smiley, laughing, winking and sometimes the side smile face.

No, you shouldn't go off of that alone. I know some people, both guys and girls, who use emojis constantly when they chat online, and even in texting... it can be a sign of flirting but honestly some people just use them a lot and there's not much more meaning behind it, try to keep an eye out for other signs.

Not sure, maybe he's just very expressive as a person? I'm that way with most people and i'm rarely flirting so, I don't know..

It could possibly just be a way that he ensures that you know what way he is saying something. But the majority of the time I do that with a girl I like, OR really close friends of mine.
