I live in a coastal area and seafood has long been part of my diet. I eat a wide range of fish and shellfish and I'm pretty confident in preparing the different types. However I do know people who won't touch fish unless it's battered and cooked by someone else.

In the UK you're never more than 70 miles from the sea, but in places like the USA people can go their whole lives without ever seeing the sea. So I got wondering is there a relationship between distance from the sea and fresh seafood consumption?

A few of my guy friends as well as someone I’ve been connecting with tend to skim messages from their friends/relatives/etc.

How likely are you to read through something that’s a page or longer? So you just skim and consider the task complete?

I tried for the first time and didn’t follow the usual recipe. It was a mild and creamy taste.

I feel like if they cheated with someone who’s better than me (in terms of looks especially), I’d be super insecure about myself and the way I look. But if they were to cheat on me with someone who’s less attractive then I’d also be questioning my self value… It’s a lose lose situation for sure.

Before I got cheated on I was a firm believer that any form of cheating would immediately end the relationship. But now that I got cheated on after three years together, I can see why some people still stay and try to work it out (especially if there are kids involved). Don’t get me wrong, I think cheating is horrible and anyone who cheats is a lowlife coward but depending on why they cheated or for how long - I can understand why couples choose to reconcile. So in that case, is cheating really a death sentence?

Guys if you had a girlfriend who openly farted in public and in front of you how do you feel or think of that? Is it nasty? Or does it show she’s comfy around you?

The Royal mail has issued it's new stamps showing characters from British mythology. Stamps are things you put on letters, perhaps you remember them from your youth. Just for fun here's five famous characters from each country in the UK. Which one do you like the best?

Beowulf and Grendel (England). Danish monster gets killed by Beowulf who then slaughters it's grief-stricken mother. Beowolf gets killed by a dragon.

Blodeuwedd (Wales) Man cursed by mother to have no wife. Nice wizards make a woman out of flowers for him. She betrays him and is punished by being turned into an owl each night.

Selkie (Scotland) kinda like a bad mermaid but they transform from human into seals by slipping in and out of seal skin. Like to eat people but easily recognised because they look exactly like seals.

Piskies (Cornwall, we'll class it as a country out of politeness). Little mischievous people who play pranks on travellers but occasionally help out.

Fionn mac Cumhaill (Ireland). Warrior Giant with a magical thumb of knowledge. Builds a causeway to Scotland so he can have fisticuffs with another giant.

Apparently as many as four Neo Nazis waved flags in a deserted street at night in ohio and local black Americans as many as 5 are getting armed, dressing in black wearing balaclavas and patrolling the streets. Seems like another nonsense story. Some of these political activists are grifters. 4 masked men appear on empty streets claiming to be neo nazis and the media makes it seem like the black community is under seige. I call bullshit on the whole thing just like the Jussie Smollet thing. Seen recently and activist shutting down a witness after she was testifying as to what happened in regards to a black girl getting assaulted, apparently the black girl started it.

Honestly I don't think she respects him or sees him as a man. I could never do that to my man but then I respect him and our relationship and he would never put up with all Jada did because he has self respect and is a real man.

I'm doing research for a book and would like to know what you all think about this.

If you know or remember me, you know I like detailed comments, the more exploratory, the better. GAG is a place to socialize but also to think about the world, and how we all fit together (or don't).

So, I'm asking this question as deliberately and consciously open-ended, so as not to narrow down the thinking too much, but I will say that 'objectification' is key. Write whatever comes to mind. I never delete comments unless you're harassing someone or being extremely rude. Otherwise, I enjoy an array of opinions and angles. Speak your mind, speak your peace, non-anonymized.

I will set one, sort of, parameter, though—I'm not so much interested in, have you ever been an object, or how often, but more so in terms of the hypothetical, how would/did it make you feel?

He would compliment me in ways like saying I’m so hot. I’m banging and “big fat ass”. He’d never really compliment me in any other way and not often at all. He’d say i was pretty occasionally too

But with his other girlfriend would say she had perfect boobs. And bigged them up so much. I have no idea how often or if he said other compliments but he was able to say that off his own back. But with me he couldn’t.

I’ve read that narcissists will compliment people less the more attractive they are. His friends told me this girl wasn’t anywhere near as good looking as I am and my narcissistic ex himself said it too. Is that why?

He always said bitterly I know I’m good looking. I know I have a big bum. I know I’m good etc.

What is the reason he couldn’t compliment me but he could this girl?

It's basically all in the main question line. Picture yourself at the point where you're fed up. You see he's interested, but for whatever reason he's not taking that last step to ask to be with you. What's your next move?
