Manipulation has darker connotations attached to it. But is it just semantics? Are they essentially the same thing?

If they're the same, then are social media influencers really social media manipulators?

So back story, This childminder was recommended by an another mum at my nursery so i asked her to childmild while i had a night out, when I was going through everything she refused to use my bottled breast milk and said either from her own breast or formula milk.

I'm not fat, I run 5 kms daily. But I am tired of posts on this site about people being "lazy" if they gain weight. There are a lot of reasons why someone can become fat and it has nothing to do with being lazy (people that say laziness are typical nasty, ignorant & uneducated).

KNOWN reasons include:

~ Medication can cause weight gain, in fact it's extremely common for certain medicine
~ Mental health issues - depression, insomnia, etc. can be cause for weight gain
~ Medical issues such as hypothyroidism is very typical in causing weight gain issues
~ Serious injuries that handicap mobility (e. g. broken legs) can cause weight gain
~ Poor diet overly processed but cheaper products can obviously cause weight gain

Plenty of reasons that involve weight gain without being lazy.

Should a woman exercise her options in her youth. Should she have experiences. If single, should she flirt with the men she’s attracted to. Knowing that attractive men don’t tend to settle and stray away.

It goes back and forth, back & forth… and no clear answer, it’s so confusing. What do you suggest. Do you regret turning down some of the most favorable men? 🥺 Cause right now I’m regretting turning down some of the most favorable men who asked me out 🥺

When you're in a romantic relationship, are you a nickname person? Like babe, baby, etc. Or do you call each other by your names? If you use nicknames, do you choose them, or do they just happen naturally as the relationship progresses?

I keep hearing these couples come up with the weirdest things and I always wonder how they progressed from something simple to some crazy variation of baby-darling-cuddle-muffin.

I think it’s men. Many men want a woman who is both modern and traditional; while more often women want one or the other.

I'm obviously not talking about abusive kind of hitting, but more like poking and pushing a little bit?

I personally only hit a guy if I'm really into him just to start some kind of skin ship between us, you know?

It's like how guys tease the girls they're into. It doesn't make sense, but it's usually flirty.

Do you guys take it as such? Or do you not like it?

I started to see someone, (we've seen each other for 3 months). His life was getting very stressful, work demands, and a challenging negotiation over finances with his ex. He felt guilty for not giving me what I "deserve" and said he has no emotional reserves to deal with a relationship. He said he needed to get through February. He said if we are meant to be together we will be, said he won't be dating. Off and on he's said he doesn't want me to go away but also says he doesn't expect me to wait. He has a lot of great qualities that I would like in a long term relationship. I feel confused about whether he will get a hold of me in the near future and wonder if I should move on. Thoughts? I do believe he has a stressful life, it's not BS to get out of seeing me. But I also feel swept off my feet and dropped on my head. While I want to have compassion, I tend to put my needs last. At the same time, he's a super guy.. or am I kidding myself? PS I'm over 50 years old.

I'm on the the heels of a horrible break up from a relationship I never really wanted to be in anyway.

I'm sore but well on the mend.

This whole thing has been going on for about 6 months.

Long story short, on my street is a really popular and vibrant restaurant. There are a ton of wait staff there, all male.

There are a couple that would kind of scope me out but I felt it was curiosity since I am fairly mysterious.

One server in particular has pathetically, IMHO, tried to get my attention when I would pass by by clearing his throat.

Once he decided to stare and not look away.

I don't jump to these silent cat calls.

He's tried to smile at me and stuff but I've been stoic because he is a smoker and I am judging him. I'll be honest.

Fast forward, I have started getting takeout there from time to time. When I walk in, some of the kitchen staff will look at him when I come in.

I purposely look away and I see him in my peripheral vision staring at me.

When I was waiting for my order, all he could do was stand really close to me when he was ringing in his table and I was ordering take out.

I caught him once staring, he looked away so fast and swallowed so hard. He was so embarrassed.

Th other evening a friend of mine treated me and we ate there.

We were seated at the back. He kept coming to the back sneaking looks at us. He works the patio.

My friend ordered some takout and we were waiting for it on the patio. He came to take our order and went straight up to me. My friend then explained we were just waiting for take out. He smiled and left.

Then he stood at the top of the stairs so he could totally see and hear us but he was pretend not watching.

We both pretend to ignore each other, actually.

I am just still reeling from all the recent emotional abuse and I feel this push-pull behaviour is a sign he is another immature, undercover narc looking for attention from someone he views as vulnerable.

Today in the UK it's Pancake day. Millions of people will be tossing in the kitchen throughout the country. Now you can eat pancakes any day but I think they taste better on pancake day.

Now I think the inability to toss a pancake a good few foot is shameful and should be enough to consign a woman to a nunnery.

But how are your tossing skills?

I ask as this is an argument by many. It's genetic.

But I look at my cousin. He was adopted into my family. His biological mother was a heavy alcholic and his father a in and out of jail meth/crackhead. He met them when he was 20s. After one event of drinking far too much at 24 - as many young twenties do - he has never touched a drop of alcohol since. He's 43.

I admit that there may be a genetic issue resulting in a poorer ability to cope with situations or life which might be a mental health issue.

The reason why I say this my mother had an issue with drinking - poor ability to cope. Her mother - again poor ability to cope. Her grandmother - never touched a drop of alcohol & was phenomenal with her ability to cope with awkward, difficult, or hard situations.
