Is it OK for you to like pets and wouldn't want to have one?

I adore pets, especially cats but I don't think I'd ever have one. I think animals carry diseases around which could have me infected.

I couldn't select an answer from your poll, I'm sorry. It is TOTALLY okay to like pets yet not have one. Totally fine. :) But whether it's normal is hard to say. I think that answer is going to be different culture to culture and nation to nation as well as place to place in each of those. I live in the United States. There are a lot of people who live in cities and don't have a pet because of that. Or they rent where they live and are not allowed to have a pet. So, circumstances vary. But I'd stop short of calling it normal, but it is definitely okay.

Pets aren't for everyone and some people cannot always take care of them. I'd say it's normal. I know in the future I won't be able to take care of a pet since it's like taking care of a baby. But I can become a plant mom with pet rocks.

Sure, you may like playing with other peoples pets, but perhaps, you family moves around a lot so having one at home isn't feasible.
